Dr Steve Glowinkowski, Co-Founder & Chief Scientific Officer, has a BSc and an MA in Psychology from Sheffield University, and a PhD in Psychology from UMIST. For over 40 years, he has worked as a psychologist, originally in industry with ICI and then Barclays, before setting up his own consultancy, Glowinkowski International. His life’s work has been the study of what successful people do differently. He has published two books: ‘Strategy, People, Implementation’ and ‘It’s Behaviour, Stupid!’
Our vision
We want the benefits of tried and tested psychology and a coaching approach, through Q, to be made available to all young people so they can be empowered to thrive in our challenging world. Our focus is to support them to understand what makes them unique, so they realise that they each have natural talents and strengths worth celebrating. We believe with more self-understanding, insight and direction they have the power to create a better wellbeing and performance 'thrive zone'. From there they are better equipped to determine their future path.

Executive Team
Emer O’Donnell, Co-Founder & Chief Coaching Officer, has a BA in Psychology from University College, Dublin and an MSc in Coaching & Behavioural Change from Henley Business School. She came to the UK from Ireland in the late 80s to work. She has 20+ years’ experience in global media logistics and in sales and marketing, working for The Guardian, News UK and Daily Mail & General Trust and as Global Director of Sales & Marketing for DHL Higgs. In 2011, she returned to her psychology roots and re-trained as a Behavioural Change Coach.
Andrew Woolfson, Chief Technology Officer, has a BA in History from Swansea University and a post-graduate diploma in Information Management from Queens University Belfast. He has many years’ experience working in senior IT roles, including at BDO and RPC. He was awarded the title of Visiting Professor of Professional Services, Research and Enterprise at the University of Huddersfield in 2012. Andrew has been instrumental in delivering major systems and business change solutions throughout his career.
Dr Kali Demes, Head of Product Science, has a BSc and PhD in Psychology from the University of Essex, with a research background in social, cultural and health psychology, and publications in top journals in the field. In 2014, she joined Glowinkowski International in a research and development role, and is now leading day-to-day operations relating to content and algorithm management on the Quintillion project.
Nina Lawrey, Project Support, has a Postgraduate diploma in Business Management and brings 20+ years of experience working within the consultancy industry as Office Manager, Executive PA, project management and support. She is experienced in content management, build, testing and administration.
Dr Martin Vaughan, Head of Data Science, has a BSc in Physics and Mathematics from the Open University, an MSc in the Physics of Laser Communications from the University of Essex and a PhD in Solid State Physics, also from the University of Essex. He has worked as a computational physicist and lecturer for many years and has extensive experience in programming and computer science. Motivated by the intellectual challenges of problem solving and a deep passion for understanding the fundamental nature of complex systems, he brings to Quintillion the expertise to realise the meeting point of computer science, AI and psychology.
Advisory Board
Mark Bennison, Advisory Board, has a BSc in applied physiology and environmental physics from Nottingham University and an MA in educational leadership from Anglia Ruskin University. A physics, mathematics and IT teacher and head of department for over thirty years, Mark was appointed as an accredited Advanced Skills Teacher for ten of those. Following this, he became a secondary school principal in three high-performing state schools and both trained and practiced as an Ofsted lead inspector. Mark became a DfE recognised Local Leader of Education in Milton Keynes and subsequently, a Senior Education Officer for a highly successful Free School Trust in North London. Since late 2016, Mark has been based in the Middle East as a Senior Inspector working across 200 private schools, covering 17 different international curricula.
Devon Hanson, Advisory Board, has a BSc in Youth and Community Studies and Sport Science from the University of Roehampton. For over 28 years, Devon has been a senior teacher and pastoral leader to thousands of young people in South London schools. He took on his first Headship role in 2007 and within four years the school was named ‘the most improved in England’. The impact of his school leadership has earned national and international recognition. Devon has worked in an advisory capacity with the Home Office, Civil Renewal Unit, the DfE, the BBC, radio and television and was asked to give a presentation to the Prime Minister’s Strategy Unit on Behaviour Management, highlighting strategies for positive change among young disaffected inner-city pupils.
Paul Pugal, Advisory Board, has a BSc in Mathematics and an MSc in Medical Statistics & Information Technology from the University of Leicester. Paul has been working within direct channels for over 25 years across a number of industries, including financial services, media, insurance, automotive and logistics. Paul has led a number of large direct operations both onshore and offshore. He has been very active in the digitisation space, and has developed and introduced a number of self-service capabilities, including speech self-service and mobile applications specifically within financial services, insurance and currently within one of the largest logistics providers in the world – FedEx.
